Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up close to Tallahassee within Florida. Her birthplace was in Miami Beach on September 21 1964. She was the daughter of Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University, and The University of Central Florida. She was an instructor in television and theater production. However, it was only when she moved from Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt that she really had learned anything about comedy. The first instructor she had was Lisa Kudrow. Additionally, she learned to write comedy and come up with sketches. It was a great way to prepare her for the role as Larry David's spouse on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The dialogue for the comedy is entirely improvised and she feels right at home.
