Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on January 31, 1974. She's best known for her role as Bo from the Showcase Television series Lost Girl. Silk was produced at Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk, an actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories include going to play rehearsals as well as watching her mother do the do her job. Silk made several commercials while she was still a kid. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto for further development of her acting profession in November 1999. Later, she spent the next decade, she moved to Los Angeles California. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting training in Los Angeles in 2007. In December 2009 they married after a civil wedding ceremony. In April of 2011, they renew their vows during the Jewish ceremony in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman's birth took place May of 2013, and her son was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk has a number of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. She was nominated for Gemini Awards in 2009 for her performance. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character from the succubus. Silk revealed to fans the joyous news that she had become pregnant during the filming of season 3 in an exclusive pre-show to promote Season Three. This was presented by Showcase during the special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the premiere. Silk was involved in the production of Lost Girl since the final season episode was conceived on January 6, 2013 on Twitter, announced her readiness to return on June 4, 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal alongside Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most talked about television couples of all time. E! voted it as the most popular TV couple in 2013.
