Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, performer, and writer best well-known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s starting at the age of Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. That same year, she made her debut album of songs, called It's the Time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide reviews. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise managed to mix her profession with ease with a variety of roles between Broadway as well as Hollywood performing somber characters against her perceived image of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also appeared for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in recent years she has also made an impact as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family emigrated to Toronto at the age of 3 which is where she spent the rest of the majority of her childhood and teenage years. In 1997 after being selected to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has remained in the city ever since.
