Tina Louise was an American actor, performer, and writer best well-known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s starting at the age of Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. That same year, she made her debut album of songs, called It's the Time for Tina. Louise's first venture into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide reviews. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant.
